This guide helps you resolve common issues with the Freightdog AI Outlook add-in.
Make sure you have an email selected (not a calendar event or task). The add-in is only available when reading emails, not when composing. In Outlook on the Web, click the Apps button. In Outlook Desktop, check the ribbon for the Freightdog AI button. Try restarting Outlook, or contact your IT administrator to verify the add-in is deployed to your account.
If the login popup does not appear, make sure your browser allows pop-ups from the Freightdog domain and try disabling pop-up blockers temporarily.
If you get an authentication error, verify you are using your work account (not personal). Try logging out and back in via the profile menu, or clear your browser cache.
If your session expires, click the Log in button to refresh it. No data is lost when sessions expire.
If processing is stuck, try refreshing the add-in panel. If still stuck, go to the Email tab and click “Forget email thread”, then process again.
If processing fails, the email format may not be supported. Try again, or handle the email manually.
“Not enough content to analyze” means the email body is too short or contains only images. Freightdog AI needs text content to extract data.
Blank white panel — Check your internet connection, close and reopen the panel, or restart Outlook.
“401 Unauthorized” — Your session has expired. Click the Log in or Reload button to re-authenticate.
“403 Forbidden” — Your account does not have permission. Contact your administrator.
File downloads not working on macOS — Use Outlook on the Web (outlook.office.com) instead of Outlook Desktop on macOS.
If none of the above solutions resolve your issue, click the “Need help? Contact our team” link in the add-in, or visit support.freightdog.com. Provide as much detail as possible: what you were doing, what error you saw, and which Outlook version you are using.
